He currently consults for the California Bureau of Investigation by using his highly developed powers of observation. As a psychic he used his powers of observation to "read people's minds". Patrick does have an ulterior motive for working with the CBI, he wants to track down the serial killer, Red John, who murdered his wife and daughter.
