The Mary Tyler Moore Show aired on CBS from 1970 until 1977. The show centers on Mary Richards who moves to Minneapolis and becomes the associate producer of the Six O' Clock News. The show is mainly a comedy but also delves into some more heavy issues such as pre-marital sex, homosexuality, equal pay for women, and more. The show earned acclaim from many of its critics and received Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series 3 years in a row.
